(Carlsbad, CA – November, 2016) – Leah Katz, AICP, recently joined TMD after serving for more than 5 years as a planning professional in New York.
Leah Katz is an experienced transportation planner with a background in regional connectivity and mobility planning. She has served on projects that range from corridor level service evaluations to regional network optimizations, and has experience with a wide range of transit services, including local/limited-stop bus, commuter express bus, rapid-transit, and commuter rail. She has an in-depth understanding of the demographic, land use, and ridership relationship; strong technical and GIS skills as they relate to transit and long range planning; and extensive experience facilitating stakeholder engagement.
Prior to joining TMD, Leah was a Planner for the NY MTA Special Project Development and Planning division, and prior to that, a Planner with the Capital District Transportation Committee MPO.
Much of Leah’s project work has focused on improving transit effectiveness while balancing regional and local mobility needs with resource constraints.
